Kamel Kings

Code Of Conduct

This is the standard code of conduct, or "CoC" as it is more commonly referred. The guidelines set down on this page are applicable equally to all players playing the game.

The text below forms the basic rules you will need to know before entering a Multiplayer game.

As a member of Kamel Kings, you will need to agree to these terms before access to Kamel Kings will be allowed, therefore ignorance of the rules will not be viewed by the combined officers as a defense.

Also, as members of Kamel Kings, Instructors and the highest ranking officer in a game are expected to uphold the terms laid out in this code, and where any situation develops that breaches it, inform pilots of their responsibilities to other players, and in extreme cases seek the assistance of one of the senior officers.

Introduction:

The Code of Conduct (CoC) is designed as a set of rules and guidelines for the standard of behavior, which should be expected within the game as a whole, within Kamel Kings, in the logbooks, and in the Forum.

Some rules are specific; some are deliberately left open to interpretation. In these instances, the overall and guiding policy should be one of fairness, common sense, fair play and sportsmanship.

General Rules apply to any game you enter in Kamel Kings uniform.

General Rules:

1. Sexual, Racial and General Insults
Any insults or jokes of this nature will not be tolerated. A multi-national, multi-cultural population within what is fast becoming a global community play these games. What some people may consider humorous may be highly offensive elsewhere. You will be required to understand and accept this, and therefore act accordingly. This ruling also applies to pilot names.

Players found in violation of this Rule 1 will be warned once privately, once publicly, and then removed from active membership should they not comply with senior officers requests.

2. Swearing /Foul or Offensive Language.
These games are now played virtually worldwide, by people of all ages. It is now not just possible, but indeed highly likely that children of varying ages may be in these games at any time of day or night. Any form of swearing or foul language will not be tolerated. This includes abbreviations, alterations and deliberate mis-spellings of such words. Typing takes a physical and deliberate effort. Such language does not just "slip" out when typing. This ruling also applies to pilot names.

Players found in violation of this Rule 2 will be warned once privately, once publicly, and then removed from active membership should they not comply with senior officers requests.

3. Disruptive Players
Please consider your actions towards other players in the games and in the logbooks. Refrain from actions/comments that will result in any person being intimidated, or in the lessening of their enjoyment of the game. Treat people, as you would like to be treated yourself. Do not set out to elicit negative responses from your actions/comments/ names.

Players found in violation of this Rule 3 will be warned once privately, once publicly, and then removed from active membership should they not comply with senior officers requests.

4. Hacks or Any Forms of Cheating or Cheat Codes
Any form of altering the games codes or using any other method to change the parameters of the server, or plane performance, or any other use of files or software other than the game software in the form it was intended is strictly prohibited. If this ruling is in anyway unclear it means, quite simply:

ANY FORM OF CHEATING / HACKING IS NOT ALLOWED.

Players found in violation of Rule 4 will bepermanently suspended without warning.

CFS1 Specific Rules:

5. Free For All (FFA)

As such teaming in FFA is not allowed. Teaming in FFA is defined as two or more pilots working together in any manner. It includes, but is not limited to, any agreement not to shoot another plane and any other co-coordinated action between 2 or more players, which either directly or indirectly puts other players at a disadvantage.
As stated, this is FFA; therefore, ANY plane is a legitimate target.

Players found in violation of Rule 5will receive one request to leave the room. If they fail to leave within 1 minute, they will receive an immediate 1-week ban.

Players found repeatedly in violation of Rule 5 will be warned once privately, once publicly, and then removed from active membership should they not comply with senior officer's requests.

6. Teams

I. This is an arena where you can fly in teams. However, it should be noted that the choice of teams denotes the team that you fly for. Other players in the arena will expect you to fly for and in the best interest of the team that you select. Therefore, making agreements with players on other teams to not shoot each other, or work together in any other way will not be tolerated. Once again, this definition includes but is not limited to any form of coordinated actions between members of different teams, which may directly, or indirectly lead to other players in the arena being placed at a disadvantage.

II. The deliberate killing or shooting of someone on the same team as you is not allowed. It should be noted however that accidents do occur, but continued repeat "accidents" are not acceptable.

Players found in violation of Rule 6 will be warned once privately, once publicly, and then removed from active membership should they not comply with senior officer's requests.

Amendments:

I. Kamel Kings pilots are encouraged to paint their own Aircraft. Kamel Kings will only use stock gun and air files. Pilots who paint their own aircraft need to submit their zipped aircraft folder to the senior officers before flying them as Kamel Kings labeled craft. After a quick inspection the files will be uploaded and available on the Kamel Kings downloads page for public download.

II. It is expected that pilots will be cordial to each other while online. When a Kamel Kings pilot enters a room or a server,  fellow pilots should greet him respectfully as soon as possible. Likewise, bidding a pilot a cordial farewell will also promote respect for the squad.

III. When playing in a Red Baron server, server rules must be observed, unless there is an agreement between ALL players to change the rules during a game.  Kamel Kings  server  rules  can be seen here.

Players found in violation of server rules will be warned once privately, once publicly, and then removed from active membership should they not comply with senior officer's requests.

General Comments:

It is recognized that this CoC may not cover every eventuality in detail. However, it is perfectly clear and detailed enough to convey the clear expectations and standards that are required of players. In light of this, attempts to twist rules or to find loopholes and technical omissions will not be considered favorably. Kamel Kings credit players with the ability to understand this and act accordingly. Every pilot should expect to be awarded the same degree of respect for their attempts to ensure a fair and enjoyable gaming experience for everyone.

Please note, in the case of persistent offenders, remedial action may include the suspension of membership in Kamel Kings.

We are here to have fun, let's make it an enjoyable experience for everyone!
