Balloon busting 1915

Mission by: KK_Reaper2 and KK_de_Deville , September 2003

Situation:

Our master spy, Pierre de Mole informed us, that Central Powers were monitoring troops movements with a Balloon. Once again, Air Vice Marshall, Sir Marmaduke Teapot, asked for volunteers to go and destroy that Balloon. We also were informed that Central Powers will defend it at all price.

Mission goals:

  1. For Allies to shoot the Balloon until it explodes, and shoot down Germans.
  2. For Germans to defend that Balloon by shooting allies down.

Rules:

  1. To win, allies must destroy the Balloon.
  2. To win, the Germans have to shoot down all Allies planes before they destroy the Balloon.
  3. If a pilot collides with the Balloon, his team loses.
  4. Germans take turn as the Balloon unless there is a volunteer.
  5. Balloon may not go higher than 3500 ft., but as low as he wants.
  6. Use of tactical display (F9), Enemy Indicator (U) and Aircraft Labels (N) is prohibited.

Settings:

  1. KK_Official settings by VonB.
  2. As many players as the room will accept.
  3. Two teams.
  4. Victory Requirements: Last Alive.
  5. Start location: KK_Flanders - middle N51*08.56 E 2*47.56.
  6. Password to be announced prior to game.

How we play it:

  1. German aircraft is KK_Fokker_Elll.
  2. Allied aircraft is KK_Morane_9N.
  3. Allies take a heading of 240 and land at RFC101.
  4. Germans take a heading of 60 and land at Jasta 15.
  5. When pilots have landed they type: Down.
  6. When everyone is down, Host type: Attack.
  7. Then everyone scrambles to accomplish their mission.

Notes:

  1. Practice landings with those planes. Remember it is ‘Last Alive.’
  2. Do not forget to disable F9, U and N keys at launch. There is no way to be sure everyone does, but remember Code of Conduct.
